Barbara Thériault

Barbara is a sociologist teaching at the University of Montréal. She has a prolific publishing practice focusing on public scholarship and she has been a champion of my career as an illustrator since day 1. 

It’s her third book I’m designing and it’s always a pleasure to read her work and discuss her inspiration. For this one, she came to me with themes of German newspapers and 1930s cafés, inspired by the origins of the “Feuilleton Sociologique” in Siegfried Kracauer‘s work.
